FRANK S. RUSSELL, ESQ.

Frank S. Russell, a West Islip resident, was raised in Bay Shore, N.Y. Mr. Russell has been a trial attorney since 1981. He graduated from St. John University School of Law, Jamaica, N.Y., where he obtained a Juris Doctor degree. Mr. Russell began his legal career as a Suffolk County Assistant District Attorney. He quickly rose through Suffolk County District Attorney Patrick Henry’s prosecutor’s office and was soon prosecuting, at trial, violent felony offenders. Mr. Russell was subsequently recruited and hired by the Suffolk County Police Department to defend Suffolk County police officers from police brutality cases in Federal Court. Mr. Russell had an extraordinary trial record, both while prosecuting criminals and later defending Suffolk County police officers. In 1985, Frank Russell left government employment and started his own private law practice, focusing on trial work, specifically, plaintiffs’ personal injury, accident and medical malpractice cases. In 1994, Frank merged his firm with Lite & Lite, to form the law firm of Lite and Russell. Mr. Russell has continued to date as trial counsel in these matters.

Appointed by the District Administrative Judge to the 2011 Task Force for Efficiency in Supreme Court Litigation.
Honored by St. John the Baptist Diocesan High School as their 2008 “Man of the Year”, at the Men of Vision Gala.Served as Chairman of the Board of Advisors, St. John the Baptist Diocesan High School.
Served as the Mock Trial Attorney Advisor to the St. John the Baptist Mock Trial Team, for 10 years.
Served as Chairman of the Board at St. Peters by the Sea Day School.
